Carolus Borromeus Church (Carolus Borromeus Kerk)

The Carolus Borromeus Church is said to be one of the most beautiful buildings in Antwerp. It is located at the Hendrik Conscienceplein, an area in Antwerp that is well known with the locals for its charm. The typical baroque church is a must see for fans of Rubens, he produced paintings for it and also designed the façade and many of the decorations. Definitely check out the main alter, a mechanism makes it possible to change the three paintings.

Zurenborg

Near the city hall is one of Antwerp's oldest buildings. ‘Het Vleeshuis’ is a 500 year old gothic building where you will find the Butcher’s Hall. The Butcher's Hall reopened in September of 2006 as the City Sounds Museum, a museum dedicated to music and dance in the city.
Stadsfeestzaal (City Festival Hall)

The Stadsfeestzaal is a large hall originally built at the beginning of the 20th century as a site for official festivities. In 2000 it was completely destroyed by a fire, but in 2007 the hall was magnificently restored and reopened as a modern shopping centre. The imposing building has become the new shopping hot spot and a definite must-see for both architecture lovers and shopaholics.
Middelheim Sculpture Museum (Openluchtmuseum Middelheim)

Middelheim Park doubles as an open air sculpture museum with over 300 works of art. The park is divided into two parts, one contains older works and the other displays contemporary work. The museum benefits a high international reputation, containing works from Auguste Rodin, Rik Wouters, Henry Moore, Max Bill. Entrance is free.
