The market on ‘t Zand is worth waking up early. On Wednesday mornings you can find fresh fish, fruit and vegetables, cheese and much more. Saturday mornings you will find everything and anything, from coats to carpets. The market is so big it spills out on to the surrounding streets.

The newest of only five diamond museums in the world offers a unique view into the world of diamonds. Visitors can travel back in time to the 15th century, when the art of diamond polishing was invented by a local goldsmith. From then on the journey continues, through Antwerp, Amsterdam and South Africa. Definitely do not miss the daily polishing demonstration in the diamond polishing workshop.

This is definitely the most delicious museum around. Here you will learn how the famous Belgian chocolate is made. You can also follow a demonstration and taste some chocolate. Kids can play the Choclala game where they have to arrange stickers in the right order. At the end, if they complete the game, they receive a small present.
