Citadel Park
With its beautiful pond and lush flower beds, the Citadel Park is a popular chill out spot. Named after the citadel that was built in 1823, the park is the biggest and the oldest urban park in Ghent. Nowadays, it is known as the “green lung” of Ghent.
The Three Towers of Ghent
The ‘Three Towers of Ghent’ are St. Bavo’s Cathedral, the Belfry and St. Nicholas’ Church. They form a line pointing towards St. Michael’s Bridge. Definitely visit these two churches and bell tower. St. Bavo’s Cathedral is a massive construction with many priceless works of art. The St. Nicholas’ Church is one of the oldest and most prominent in Ghent. At St. Micheal's Bridge you can admire some of the city's many listed buildings.
