The Arthur Merghelynck Hotel-Museum
A. Merghelynckstraat 2, 8900 Ieper. Tel: 0032 (0)57 239 220
The museum is right on the Market Square and housed in a hotel from 1774. It is Ypres’ least known but most exceptional museum, dedicated to the lifestyle of the nobility in the 18th century. Walk through the excessively decorated and intimate rooms and admire the many paintings by old masters. Everything seems as if the owners have only just left and you will truly feel as if you have gone back in time.
